Co-Ops

As a part of Wentworth Institute of Technology’s curriculum, students can gain real-world experiences from at least two co-op terms during their time there.

Invaluable

Invaluable is a company that created a platform to do online auctioning on. There I was a quality assurance (QA) engineer intern where I eventually became the sole QA person. There I learned the ins and outs of using different environments to test various tickets. During my time there, I created a numbered list system to organize what was tested in each ticket, which in the end made it clear why and where a ticket has passed or failed. I was able to maintain a co-op as a part-time job as school started back up, but I needed to start a new co-op for the term following.

Iwaki America Inc.

Iwaki America Inc. (Iwaki) makes and sells various types of pumps. There I was a part of the IT team. I have designed and coded websites before, but during my time there, I learned how to code with VB.NET while updating an internal website. Unfortunately, the news of COVID-19 lockdown hit a few months into me working there, but fortunately, I was able to continue my learning until the end of the semester and then as a part-time job until the beginning of the Fall semester of my Senior year of college.
